BLACK LIPS: Pitchfork 09
As i prepare for the ultimate music festival, I cant forget about the peeps i really enjoyed at Pitchfork the Alt Ultimate Music Fest. Black Lips was by far my favorite band. I mean super duper hype! Not even five minutes into their set, they were smashing shit! A mazing! I was a little confused when i heard the scattering of the guitar, i thought i was hit! I wasn’t but i was paranoid that something else would be destroyed! like my camera… Word of advice when you see these dudes rock, please stand at least 10 feet away from the stage!
Flaming Lips: Pitchfork 09
What a visually spectacular show!!! Can’t say i enjoyed squeezing in the photo pit with thirty photographers elbowing to get shots of the Flaming Lips, but i did enjoy the confetti and balloons raining on me ! It was just so beautiful! Im surely not a hardcore lips fan; i like a few songs… However, i would see them again just for visual simulation!
Daily DJ: RUPTURE
Talk about cute! DJ Rupture seems so chill and serene, but he delivers hype beats. When he took the stage at Pitchfork i didn’t really know what to expect! I’m glad i had no expectations! His play list was interesting, mixing lots of island favor with hip-hop in a sexy way. At least the beats made me wanna sexy dance!
Daily Band: The Mae Shi
Boy was i sad i missed these guys perform Sunday afternoon at Union Park…. As i entered the park they where rocking the stage with Kid Static, I wanted to run over really quick but my interview was bumped up so i couldn’t. So I have to listen to tracks on myspace continuously today!!!

these dude are my new obsession! I’ve been aware of them for awhile but today was the first day i really gave their mixtape a chance… So glad i did, expect to see me snapping pics at a show or three!
JAPANDROID!
MAKE NOISE FOR JAPANDROID!!!!!! Talk about wild and crazzzzy! The band brought some intensity to the B stage at Pitchfork. THEY PLAYED A SHORT SET, BUT IT WAS HYPE AS HELL. FOLKS WERE DANCING, BOUNCING AND OF COURSE YELLING. But not as much as Brian King! who did the classic Michael Jackson AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH every 60secs! I loved it.
VIVIAN GIRLS -Pitchfork 09
The Vivan Girls are on favorite acts for Sunday list. For one i love most girl bands, very inspiring (even the bad ones)! Two, they actually rock and three they look great doing it! what more could you ask for……?
Pharoahe Monch-Pitchfork 09
Today, so far my favorite performance comes from Pharoahe Monch! He’s so cool. sorta soft spoken, but when he hits the stage its on! Pharoahe was full of energy , charisma, and he looked hella happy to perform for us!!!! check out the flicks below.

Its a tad early to start jumping around to electronica, but who cares, Kiiboard Kid makes me happy!!

If i had my say, NATALIE PORTMAN’S SHAVED HEAD would surely be one of the bands kicking off my journey to music paradise in the park! But since i do not run the park, i will control the itunes and blast off on a personal note!
